McDonald's Department Manager – Job Description
At McDonald's, our Department Manager's are responsible for overseeing the entire operation of an individual department within the restaurant including PEOPLE, KITCHEN, or GUEST EXPERIENCE. They will ensure we have highly trained and effective crew who deliver outstanding quality, accuracy and customer service. They will also ensure their department operates to the highest standards of McDonald's Canada.

Department Manager – Job Duties

Shift Management

Lead and motivate a team of employees to ensure customer satisfaction, quality product delivery, and operational excellence

Ensure all McDonald's policies and procedures are followed in accordance with company standards

Manage the daily operations of their individual department which may include:

Inventory/order management

Proper food preparation, and handling

Guest Experience and satisfaction

Restaurant Experience

People practices including hiring,



performance evaluation, appreciation/retention

Minimum Qualifications

2+ years leading teams in quick service or related customer service facing role

Excellent customer service and communication skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Strong interpersonal skills

Ability to direct and lead a team

Ability to resolve conflict

Availability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

A valid driver's license and available automobile is preferred.

Compensation

Starting salary of $43,000 to $58,000 annually depending on experience/skill set

Monthly car and cell phone allowance

Eligible for company health care benefits program

Eligible for company bonus program

2-4 weeks paid vacation depending on experience
