This is not traditional construction—it’s fast-paced, short-duration shutdown work requiring adaptability, focus, and a strong safety mindset.
Essential Responsibilities:
Receive, inspect, and document incoming materials and equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements
Manage material inventory, including tracking, issuing, and replenishing stock to support project operations
Coordinate the storage, handling, and distribution of materials while maintaining organized warehouse and laydown areas
Verify packing slips, shipping documents, and material certifications for completeness and accuracy
Conduct routine inventory counts and audits to maintain accurate records and minimize discrepancies
Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and telehandlers in accordance with site procedures and safety requirements
Maintain accurate inventory records using computerized inventory management systems
Work within site permit systems, safety procedures, and company policies to ensure safe and efficient operations
Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Materials Technician, Materials Coordinator, Warehouseperson, or similar role in an industrial, construction, mining, or oil and gas environment
Experience managing inventory, shipping and receiving, and material control processes
Proficiency with inventory management software and Microsoft Office applications
Ability to read and interpret packing lists, purchase orders, material specifications, and shipping documentation
Previous forklift certification or experience operating material handling equipment is considered an asset
Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail
Ability to work in fast-paced, schedule-driven environments and adapt to changing priorities
