Enhance facility operations at the London Public Library as a Building Maintenance Mechanic. This vital role ensures safe, efficient, and sustainable building conditions through expert maintenance and repairs.

This permanent full time position within Facility Services involves maintaining library properties and systems. You'll conduct preventive maintenance and manage energy efficiency while collaborating with contractors for repairs. Engaging with staff and the public is also key as you drive forward the Library’s mission.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform preventive maintenance on all library facilities
• Conduct monthly building inspections for safety and efficiency
• Implement energy management measures across locations




• Assist in complex problem resolutions with the Supervisor
• Maintain effective communications with contractors and staff

Requirements:
• Building Environmental Systems Operator Certificate Class 1 & 2
• Minimum 3 years’ experience with Building Automation Systems
• Proven expertise in mechanical and electrical systems
• Valid Ontario G Driver's License required
• Willingness to work standby and emergency hours
