Serve as an expert advisor to designers, drafters, project engineers, and structural analysts
Support designers in selecting cast materials and aerospace-grade materials
Guide designers in selecting coatings based on engine function and operating environment, including erosion and corrosion considerations
Provide guidance on repair schemes and quality non-conformances
Research and respond to questions related to material properties
Design tests and manage logistics to characterize material properties
Review and approve drawings
Travel globally to suppliers for process reviews, Process Walks, and technical support
Prepare technical memos and specifications
Manage data and statistical analysis capabilities
Apply knowledge of aerospace certification requirements
Requirements
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Materials Engineering or Metallurgical Engineering, with 10 years of experience (flexible) in a field related to aerospace forging
Solid technical writing skills
Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
Strong customer service orientation
Adaptable, self-directed, and rigorous approach; willingness to learn and share knowledge
Very good command of English to read and understand documentation and technical terminology on a daily basis,
and to write and communicate in English with international customers, suppliers, or colleagues
Successful completion of a criminal background check
Ability to obtain the necessary authorizations to handle and transfer controlled goods
