We are recruiting an experienced Maintenance / Production Supervisor to join our team to support our client in the automotive industry.NOTE: 9-month contract 100% onsite Must be available to work OT as required including weekends Must be able to work all shiftsResponsibilitiesCoach team members on Safety, Quality, and Productivity to ensure objectives are met by adhering to standardized workOptimize production throughput in alignment with budget and cost objectivesMonitor ANDON (a system to notify production issues) occurrences and serve as the initial responder for secondary supportVerify production line safe and smooth operation, and its output of quality parts, through Process ConfirmationSupport Kaizen (Continuous Improvement) initiatives and coach problem resolution at the lowest possible levelMeet targets for First Time Through (FTT), inventory, cost, scrap, supply, and tooling expensesBuild the capability of both Team Leaders and Team MembersCreate a conducive work environment that enables teams to complete their assigned responsibilities and tasksEnsure effective communication and recognition within the teamPerform basic administration of supervisory duties and documentationCreate process and instruction sheets supporting quality methods and processesRequired Skills & Qualifications1+ years’ experience working with and supervising unionized workforce and understanding of CBA (collective bargaining agreement)Experience in body shop, stamping, paint, subassembly, or machining preferred.
