We’re looking for a Bartender / Server who is comfortable both behind the bar and on the floor. Someone who enjoys connecting with guests, has a genuine interest in wine and cocktails, and takes pride in delivering knowledgeable, attentive, and engaging hospitality.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, personable, and service-focused Bartender / Server to join our team at Bodega on 4th.

This is a versatile role for someone who enjoys the variety of restaurant service. You may spend part of your shift behind the bar and part of it serving tables, depending on the needs of the restaurant.

You’ll play an important role in creating the Bodega experience—from welcoming guests and taking care of tables to preparing cocktails and helping guests discover new wines.

Our wine program is a key part of what makes Bodega unique, and we’re looking for someone who is excited to learn about Spanish and Portuguese wines and share that knowledge with our guests in an approachable and engaging way.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Guest Experience

- Create a warm, welcoming, and engaging atmosphere for every guest
- Provide friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive service from beginning to end
- Take orders, serve food and beverages, and manage tables efficiently
- Build genuine relationships with guests and provide personalized recommendations
- Take the time to understand what guests enjoy and make thoughtful food and beverage suggestions




- Answer questions about our menu, wines, cocktails, beer, and other beverages with confidence
- Guide guests through their dining experience and help create memorable occasions
- Handle guest feedback professionally and help resolve concerns promptly
- Create experiences that encourage guests to return

Wine & Beverage
- Develop a solid understanding of Bodega’s Spanish and Portuguese wine selection
- Guide guests through our wine list and make recommendations based on their preferences
- Suggest thoughtful wine and food pairings
- Share the stories, regions, varietals, and producers behind our wines in an approachable way
- Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages to Bodega standards
- Develop a strong understanding of our cocktail and beverage programs
- Make knowledgeable beverage recommendations
- Maintain consistency, presentation, and quality with every beverage
- Continue developing your wine and beverage knowledge through tastings, education, and hands-on experience

Bar & Service
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient bar throughout each shift
- Ensure tables and service areas are clean, organized, and properly stocked
- Assist with opening, closing, stocking, and daily side duties
- Ensure food and beverages are delivered accurately and presented to Bodega standards
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen and front-of-house team during busy service periods
- Step comfortably between bartending and serving responsibilities as required
- Support fellow team members to ensure smooth and seamless service

Teamwork & Operations
- Work closely with servers, bartenders, hosts, managers, and kitchen staff
- Communicate clearly and professionally with the team
- Remain organized and calm during busy service periods




- Follow all AGLC regulations, food safety requirements, and responsible liquor service practices
- Contribute to a positive, professional, and supportive team culture
- Take pride in maintaining the standards and reputation of Bodega on 4th

WHO YOU ARE
- Previous restaurant, serving, or bartending experience is preferred
- Comfortable working both behind the bar and on the floor
- A genuine passion for hospitality and creating great guest experiences
- Interested in wine and excited to learn more about Spanish and Portuguese wines
- Interested in cocktails and beverage service
- Comfortable making recommendations and engaging in conversation with guests
- Friendly, outgoing, and confident
- Able to multitask and remain calm and organized in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
- Reliable, professional, and dependable
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
- A team player who enjoys working in a collaborative environment
- ProServe certification, or the ability to obtain it prior to starting
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
