Position Overview:
As a server at Washoku Bistro, you will play a key role in ensuring that our guests enjoy an unforgettable dining experience. Your primary responsibility is to provide excellent customer service, guide guests through our menu, and create a welcoming atmosphere. You will represent our commitment to quality and hospitality while delivering professional, friendly, and attentive service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests promptly and provide them with a warm welcome.
- Present and explain menu items, including sushi, sashimi, Korean BBQ, and daily specials.
- Provide recommendations based on guests’ preferences and dietary needs.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system.
- Serve food and beverages efficiently, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and respond promptly to any inquiries or issues.
- Handle payments, process credit cards, and provide correct change as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including dining areas and service stations.
- Follow health, safety,
and sanitation standards at all times.
- Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist with setting up and breaking down the dining room before and after service.
- Engage with guests to create a positive and memorable dining experience.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a server.
- Knowledge of Japanese/Korean cuisine, or a willingness to learn.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work weekends including Sundays.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced workplace while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Excellent multitasking and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail and a passion for hospitality.
