Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using Square POS
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and giving change
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including dining spaces, counters, and kitchen stations
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed to support kitchen staff
- Ensure all food handling practices comply with health regulations and safety protocols
- Manage guest inquiries promptly, resolving issues efficiently to ensure satisfaction
- Support team members during busy periods to maintain smooth operations
Skills
- Experience is an assett in food service or restaurant environments with a strong focus on guest services
- Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS or similar platforms
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables and tasks efficiently
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
- Strong cashiering skills with basic math proficiency for accurate cash handling and transactions
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest experience and sales revenue
- Effective communication skills to interact positively with guests and team members
- Previous restaurant or food industry experience is highly preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm for hospitality is essential
