About the Role

We are seeking high-energy, outgoing, friendly, and productive Front of House Team Members to join the awesome team at Haugen’s. This role is an important part of creating a great experience for our guests, supporting smooth front-of-house operations, and helping create a welcoming and positive environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, enjoys working with people, and can thrive in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Duties

- Create an amazing experience for every one of our valued guests
- Greet guests warmly and assist with their orders
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash transactions, process payments, and provide correct change
- Prepare simple food items as needed while following food safety and sanitation standards




- Upsell menu items and provide recommendations to enhance the guest experience
- Maintain cleanliness of the front counter, dining area, and service stations
- Ensure food handling procedures comply with health and safety regulations
- Manage order flow during busy periods to help minimize wait times
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including:
- Cleaning and sanitation
- Restocking supplies
- Preparing the restaurant for the next service

Experience & Qualifications

- Previous experience in food service or a restaurant environment is preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and professionalism
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order calculations
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices is an asset
- Familiarity with POS systems, such as Micros POS, is an asset
- Experience in food preparation, serving, or cashiering is an asset
- Previous kitchen or food industry experience is beneficial but not required
- Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team

Starting at $17.60 plus tips.

Pay: From $17.60 per hour
