Service Manager
Western Kia is looking for an experienced Service Manager who knows that a strong service department starts with a strong team.
We’re looking for someone who can lead with integrity, set clear expectations, support their people, and create an environment where employees feel respected and customers feel looked after.
If you have at least two years of automotive service leadership experience, understand the day-to-day realities of a busy service department, and enjoy helping both people and processes improve, we’d like to hear from you.
What You’ll Do
As Service Manager, you’ll take ownership of the overall performance of the Service Department while working closely with your team every day.
You will
- Lead, coach, schedule, and support the service team
- Build a positive, accountable, and respectful work environment
- Monitor productivity, customer satisfaction, department performance, and profitability
- Set clear goals and work with the team to achieve monthly targets
- Support technicians and Service Advisors with problem-solving and challenging situations
- Help ensure repairs are completed properly and meet dealership and manufacturer standards
- Step in when needed to resolve customer concerns professionally and fairly
- Ensure repair orders and service documentation are accurate and complete
- Oversee warranty administration, service tools, equipment, and department resources
- Maintain solid working relationships with Parts, Sales, manufacturers, and vendors
- Ensure dealership safety procedures and workplace reporting requirements are followed
- Look for opportunities to improve how the department operates and how customers are served
What We’re Looking For We’re interested in someone who brings both automotive knowledge and strong people leadership.
Ideally, you will have:
- At least two years of automotive service leadership experience
- Previous experience as a Service Manager, Assistant Service Manager, Shop Foreman, Fixed Operations leader, or similar automotive leadership role
- Strong automotive mechanical and technical knowledge
- Experience coaching, developing, and holding employees accountable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to remain professional and solution-focused in difficult customer situations
- Strong organizational and decision-making skills
- A results-focused approach and willingness to take ownership of department performance
- Experience with dealership management systems, CRM software, and Microsoft Office
- A valid provincial driver’s licence and clean driving record
Automotive trade certification, formal automotive training, and Kia or other manufacturer-specific experience are considered assets. Why Western Kia?
