THE OPPORTUNITY:
We are seeking a Setup Operator responsible for the setup and tear down of our surface mount technology (SMT) machines. This individual will be eager to learn new processes, can work efficiency in a fast paced environment and enjoys working independently and with a team to meet deadlines.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Organize with Planning, Materials and Management about a schedule to ensure setup will be completed before run date
- Print off setup sheets from Fujicam or Siemens controllers
- Utilize the Setup Tracking Sheet (kept in the area) and upon completion hand it into your PTL
- Checking binder for any deviations, material issues and special instructions from engineering that might affect setup completion
- Manage materials making sure kits are received and returned in the same order
- Setup feeders,
check for stencil availability and ensure accuracy for overall setup processes
- Perform feeder maintenance when required
- Participate and adhere to DSM safety policies and practices
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED or 2-3 years related experience and/or training
- Strong oral communication skills
- Exposure to performing scheduled preventative maintenance on equipment is an asset
- Intermediate skills with MS Office, internet and manufacturing software’s
- Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
- Proficient working independently and/or part of a team
- Detail oriented and possess a strong initiative to improve processes and promote and improve quality
- Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness
- Strong ability to prioritize and plan the work activities, using time efficiently
