Using state of the art robotic trim and finishing technology, Exi-Plast delivers products that exceed our customer's expectations. In addition to our custom molded work, Exi-Plast develops and manufactures a variety of proprietary branded products that are sold by distributors and retailers throughout North America.

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are currently recruiting for the role of Shift Lead / Supervisor.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Champion a culture of health and safety, ensuring that safe work practices are always the top priority.
- Coordinate and assign daily tasks to the operations team, including material forklift operators, machine operators, and maintenance personnel.
- Oversee workflow to ensure tasks are effectively prioritized and completed on schedule.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment across all areas of the plant.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team atmosphere by motivating and supporting employees.
- Gain a working knowledge and utilize the lessons of machinery and equipment to provide basic troubleshooting and support.
- Ensure a smooth transition between shifts by preparing detailed shift handovers and status updates.




- Act quickly and calmly in emergency situations, helping to resolve issues and minimize disruptions.
- Monitor and track inventory levels of incoming materials and finished products to support continuous production.
- Track productivity of each work cell, monitoring target vs actual hourly, including cycle times is meeting standard, and quality is being achieved, assisting the team to achieve these targets.
- Train and mentor new team members on operational procedures and safety protocols.
- Assist the Production Manager in daily production oversight and meeting operational goals.
- Plan, coordinate and supervise the activities of team members to meet production schedules and to hold them accountable for their performance.
- Leads the implementation and adherence of quality control checks
- Ability to develop employees and implement continuous improvement methodologies with the team.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in manufacturing, operations, or related field is an asset.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to give clear instructions and maintain effective communication across shifts and departments.
- Demonstrated ability to stay calm under pressure and respond quickly to unexpected situations or emergencies.
- Strong time management, task prioritization, and attention to detail to ensure efficient shift operations.
- Strong problem solving, planning and decision-making skills.
