About Jukebox
Jukebox is a global online printing company known for premium print, specialty papers and finishes, and products made to a higher standard. From business cards and stickers to packaging, books and custom projects, we work with major brands, small businesses, designers and independent creators around the world.
The Role
Jukebox is looking for an established Creative Director to lead the company’s creative direction.
We are entering 2027 with a much bigger creative ambition. We want stronger campaigns, more original product launches, better storytelling and creative work that makes full use of our materials, production capabilities and technology. This person will set that direction and build the team, partnerships and strategy needed to deliver it.
This is a hands‑on leadership position reporting directly to the CEO. You must already have held a formal Creative Director‑level position at an established company, brand or agency. This is not an opportunity for someone seeking their first Creative Director title.
What You’ll Do
Set the creative vision and strategy for Jukebox for 2027 and beyond
Turn that direction into standout campaigns, product launches, website experiences, photography, video, packaging and print
Develop original projects, collaborations and creative ideas that show what Jukebox can do
Find new ways to use our papers, specialty finishes, production capabilities and digital tools
Lead major work from the first concept through production and launch, staying hands‑on where it matters
Recruit, lead and develop a strong creative team, supported by the right photographers, illustrators, filmmakers, writers and outside partners
Work closely with ecommerce, development, production, sales and company leadership to turn ambitious ideas into finished work
Set and protect the creative standard across everything Jukebox releases
Who You Are
You are an established Creative Director with a strong point of view,
excellent visual judgement and a body of work that shows original thinking. You can set the strategy, develop the main idea and stay close enough to the details to make the work better.
You know how to lead designers, photographers, writers, filmmakers and outside partners. You communicate clearly, make decisions and are comfortable receiving direct feedback. You can move quickly without lowering the standard and understand that strong creative work must support both the customer and the business.
Qualifications
A minimum of fifteen years of full‑time professional experience in design, art direction and creative leadership
A minimum of five years employed in a formal Creative Director‑level position at an established company, brand or agency
Current or recent experience as a Creative Director, Senior Creative Director, Group Creative Director, Executive Creative Director, Head of Creative, VP Creative or Chief Creative Officer
This is not a first‑time Creative Director position. Candidates whose highest permanent role has been Senior Designer, Art Director, Senior Art Director or Associate Creative Director will not be considered
Proven experience hiring, leading, mentoring and reviewing a multidisciplinary creative team
Previous responsibility for final creative approval, department output, schedules, budgets and outside partners
An exceptional portfolio showing brand identity, major campaigns, ecommerce, digital design, typography, photography, packaging and print
A portfolio that clearly explains what you created personally and what was completed by a team under your direction
Experience leading major campaigns and product launches from the initial idea through final production
Experience directing photography and video
Strong knowledge of typography, layout, colour, composition and brand systems
Advanced working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
Solid working knowledge of Figma and collaborative design workflows
Strong print and packaging experience, including an understanding of paper, materials, colour reproduction, prepress and finishing
Experience working directly with developers, production teams, senior leadership and outside creative partners
Strong presentation, written and verbal communication skills
Post‑secondary education in graphic design, visual communication, advertising or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
Verifiable employment history, previous titles, leadership responsibilities and professional references
A self‑assigned Creative Director title from freelance or one‑person studio work does not meet the five‑year requirement on its own.
Preferred Experience
Experience building or expanding an internal creative department
Experience with a premium consumer, ecommerce, retail, technology or design‑led brand
Experience working in both agency and in‑house environments
Advanced knowledge of commercial printing, paper stocks, coatings, colour management, packaging, prepress, bindery and specialty finishing
Experience with online creative tools or customer‑facing digital products
Experience with motion design, animation, video editing or 3D production
An established network of photographers, filmmakers, illustrators, writers and other creative specialists
