You must be a self motivated person able to work with no supervision but also able to work as part of a small team.This position supports our Head Cook by filling in every Saturday, Sunday and Monday running our kitchen.Duties & ResponsibilitiesWork with Head Cook and serving staff as a team.Preparing foods, including chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, portioning foods etc...Cooking all foods on our menu as per recipes and to specified stages.Plating (presentation counts), for timely delivery by servers.Adhere to food handling and health & safety procedures.Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen and back of house including washing tableware, kitchen tools, etc.Disposing of waste & recyclingOpening and closing duties as required Other duties as assignedGeneral cleaning dutiesSkills & QualificationsPrevious experience working in a kitchen and familiarity with food is a definite asset.
