Starter Generator Shipping, Receiving & Parts Coordinator

Hours: 30 hrs/week (Mon–Fri, 6 hrs/day)

Role Summary

This position supports the overhaul workflow for starter generators. You will manage outbound shipments, inbound parts, documentation, and parts room operations. The job requires independence, accuracy, and the ability to follow technical procedures. This role also involves regular physical handling of starter generators (approx. 30 lbs each) within the shop.

Duties

- Pack, label, and ship starter generators according to company standards
- Lift and move starter generators (approx. 30 lbs) to various shop locations; use carts for transport and place units onto shelving as required
- Receive and inspect incoming parts; track shipments from US/UK suppliers
- Generate work orders, packing slips, and invoices
- Convert legacy Lotus Word Pro documents into Microsoft Office formats
- Maintain parts inventory and build picklists for generator assemblies
- Answer phones and coordinate with customers and vendors




- Perform general shop tasks, including cleaning, organizing, and maintaining a tidy work environment
- Assist with operational improvements and business growth initiatives

Requirements
- Experience in shipping/receiving or mechanical/industrial environments preferred
- Ability to safely lift and move 30 lb components throughout the shop
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and follow established procedures
- Competent with computers, microsoft office and documentation
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable in a hands‑on shop environment
