Accurate Mechanical u0026 Welding

Calgary

Where: Accurate Mechanical & Welding (Just on the east edge of Calgary / Rocky View County)

Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Pay: Competitive hourly rate (let's chat about your experience!)

Who We Are

At Accurate Mechanical & Welding (AMWI), we run a busy commercial repair and custom fabrication shop. We work on everything from heavy-duty commercial rigs and trailers to paving equipment and light-duty fleet vehicles.

We aren't a giant, faceless corporation. We’re a tight-knit, down-to-earth team that prides itself on honesty, high-quality work, and a safe, clean shop. We work hard, we look out for each other, and we like to keep the atmosphere positive and straightforward.

What the Job Actually Looks Like

As our Shop Hand, you are the glue that keeps the whole place running smoothly. You won't just be doing one repetitive task all day; you'll be helping out across the shop wherever it's needed.

Your daily tasks will include:

Keeping the shop in top shape: Sweeping the floors, cleaning up oil spills, throwing out trash, and making sure the service bays are safe and organized.

Managing tools and gear

Helping put away tools, setting up equipment, and keeping things where they belong.

Handling parts

Helping us unload parts deliveries, organizing the inventory shelves, and fetching parts for the guys in the bays.

Lending a hand

Assisting our technicians with basic tasks, holding parts, prepping trucks on jack stands, and removing wheels.

Safety first

Making sure we dispose of shop fluids (like oil and coolants) properly and safely.

What We're Looking For

You don't need a formal trade background for this role,

but we do need someone who is:

Reliable: You show up on time, ready to work, with a great attitude.

Physically fit: This is a hands-on job. You’ll be on your feet, lifting heavy tools, and moving around the shop all day.

Mobile: You have a valid Class 5 driver's licence and your own reliable vehicle to get to our shop in Rocky View County every day.

Safety-conscious: You respect shop safety and are comfortable wearing steel-toes and safety glasses all day, every day.

Bonus points: If you’ve worked in a mechanical shop, construction, or done pressure washing before, that's outstanding—but if you're hardworking and eager to pitch in, we can teach you the rest.

Why You'll Love Working Here

Great people: No politics or drama. We’ve got a clean, well-equipped shop and a team that actually respects one another.

Variety: You’ll get to see and work around some really cool, heavy-duty equipment and custom welding projects.

Stability: Honest, steady hours with a local business that values your hard work.

How to Apply

If this sounds like a fit for you, we'd love to talk. Drop us your resume at [email protected].
