Ranfar Steel Ltd. is a custom metal fabrication shop located in Courtice, Ontario. We are looking for a reliable, hands-on person to join our team.

This is a full-time, on-site position, Monday to Friday, from 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The position involves a variety of duties, with most of the time spent spray-painting fabricated steel assemblies and components. Other duties include making deliveries, building maintenance and general shop labour.

Responsibilities

- Spray paint fabricated steel assemblies and components
- Load, secure and deliver fabricated steel products and other materials using a pickup truck and trailer
- Perform routine building and shop maintenance
- Assist with general labour and housekeeping duties throughout the shop
- Help load and unload materials and keep work areas organized
- Perform other practical shop and maintenance tasks as required

Requirements

- Ontario Class G driver's license and clean driving record
- Able to work independently and as part of a small team




- Comfortable working in a metal fabrication shop workplace
- Able to safely perform physical work, including occasionally lifting and transporting materials weighing up to 50 lb across uneven terrain
- Reliable, safety-conscious and willing to pitch in wherever needed

Nice To Have

- Familiarity with Durham Region and the GTA, including local roads and industrial areas
- Previous experience with spray painting, industrial painting, construction, maintenance, delivery driving or metal fabrication
- Experience towing and backing a trailer
