Help People Sleep, Breathe and Feel Like Themselves Again

Most people do not come to our clinic because they are fascinated by sleep data. They come because they are exhausted, worried about their health, frustrated by snoring or struggling to function during the day.

At My Sleep Services, we help them make sense of what is happening and determine what to do next.

We are looking for an RN, RRT or LPN who can combine clinical judgment with patience, curiosity and the ability to explain complicated information in a way that makes people feel less overwhelmed.

About My Sleep Services

My Sleep Services (MYSS) is a CPSA-accredited sleep diagnostic clinic in Calgary specializing in sleep-disordered breathing, home sleep apnea testing and CPAP therapy.

Our care model is built around time, education, objective information and continuity.

A typical patient begins with a 45-minute clinical consultation. We learn about their symptoms, health history, medications, sleep concerns and personal goals. When appropriate, the patient completes a multi-night home sleep test so we can consider night-to-night variability rather than relying on a single night.

The patient then returns for a comprehensive 45-minute results appointment with an MYSS clinician. We connect the physician’s findings and the patient’s sleep data with the symptoms affecting their life.

Treatment discussions may include CPAP, oral appliance therapy, further medical assessment or other appropriate care pathways. Patients receive clear, balanced information so they can make informed decisions about their health.

When a patient chooses CPAP, we continue with equipment selection, mask fitting, education, titration and optimization, data review, troubleshooting and follow-up.

Our role is not simply to perform a test or provide a machine. We guide patients from their first questions through diagnosis, treatment and ongoing care.

The Opportunity

This is an opportunity to become highly skilled in a focused area of healthcare while doing work that is both clinically meaningful and deeply practical. Relationships are at the heart of this work.

You will meet patients who may have lived with fatigue, disrupted sleep, snoring, morning headaches, poor concentration or daytime sleepiness for years. You will help them make sense of their symptoms, understand their own data and develop a realistic path forward.

You will be trained across the complete MYSS clinical pathway:

- Initial sleep consultation and assessment
- Multi-night home sleep apnea testing

- Sleep-study and physician-report review
- Comprehensive results education
- CPAP initiation and mask fitting
- CPAP titration and therapy assessment
- Data-informed troubleshooting
- Long-term treatment follow-up

Over your first 12 months, the goal is for you to develop the knowledge and confidence to independently guide patients through this complete pathway. This will add meaningful capacity to our clinical team and requires someone who takes ownership, follows through and demonstrates the qualities of a future clinical leader. Previous sleep or CPAP experience is welcome, but it is not required. Specialized sleep and CPAP knowledge can be taught. Clinical foundations, sound judgment, curiosity and respect for patients are essential.

We are interested in how you think, how you communicate, how you learn and how you treat people.

All duties will be performed within the successful candidate’s professional scope of practice.

What We Are Looking For

You may be a strong fit if you:

- Are registered and in good standing with the applicable Alberta regulatory college as an RN, RRT or LPN
- Have a clinical foundation in health, breathing or respiratory care
- Enjoy helping people understand what is happening in their bodies
- Can explain complex health information clearly without talking down to patients
- Listen carefully and notice details
- Can connect clinical findings with a patient’s symptoms and goals
- Respect the role healthcare professionals can play in a patient’s life
- Treat every patient with kindness, patience and respect
- Are comfortable working independently within established protocols
- Know when to apply your judgment and when to ask for another opinion
- Take ownership of your work and follow responsibilities through to completion
- Produce accurate, complete and timely clinical documentation
- Are comfortable learning new technology and clinical processes
- Remain calm and constructive when a patient is frustrated or treatment is not going smoothly
- Are organized, dependable and attentive to detail
- Want to develop meaningful expertise in sleep-disordered breathing

- Demonstrate initiative, accountability and emerging leadership
- Contribute positively to a cooperative and accountable clinical team

Experience That Would Be Helpful Experience in the following areas is an asset but is not required:

- Sleep medicine or sleep-disordered breathing
- CPAP setup, titration or troubleshooting
- Home sleep apnea testing
- Respiratory, cardiac, primary-care or chronic-disease management
- Patient counselling and behaviour-change support

What We Offer

- Compensation of $35–$50 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
- Comprehensive training across sleep diagnostics and CPAP therapy
- Structured clinical protocols, appointment guides and training resources
- The opportunity to develop specialized expertise in sleep-disordered breathing
- The opportunity to build long-term relationships with patients
- A clear path toward independently owning the complete patient-care pathway
- The potential to grow into a clinical leadership role as MYSS expands
- A team that values kindness, clinical judgment, accountability and continued learning
- A weekday daytime schedule with no evenings or Saturdays

Location and Schedule This is a full-time position based at My Sleep Services in Calgary, Alberta.

The clinic is currently open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with no evening or Saturday shifts. We are willing to adjust the specific working hours for the right candidate.

How to Apply

Our mission is to navigate people from diagnosis through treatment with empathy and expertise, empower them through knowledge and ensure no person is left behind.

- Tell us about a time you cared for someone who felt overwhelmed, uncertain or hesitant. How did you approach the situation?
