Summary The Production Supervisor will be required to aid the Division Manager and other Production Supervisors in the daily coordination of production. The successful candidate will be on a set shift from 2:00pm – 10:00pm; however, availability on weekends, statutory holiday (Christmas Eve, Christmas, Boxing Day, New Year’s Eve, Recent Year’s Day, Family Day) is required. On call or extended shifts may be required.

Hours may vary based on weather and operational needs. This is a 5-month contract from November 2026 – April 2027. The total compensation for the 5 month contract will be between 20,000 - 30,000.

Primary Duties

● Promoting safety in every aspect of daily production.

● Instilling our core values (Professionalism, Quality, Teamwork, Trust)

● Train snow staff in compliance with policies, best practices, and enforce SOPs as observed on site with all staff. Providing hands-on skills assessments and training for all new hires and existing staff.

● Daily quality checks of sites completed, and sites scheduled for the following day.

● Reviewing and maintaining the snow clearing schedule/routes in conjunction with management

● Monitor weather forecasts and coordinate storm preparation, crew availability,



equipment staging and materials requirements

● Supervising shift open and/or close and ensure all crews have functional equipment, PPE, and proper materials required for job completion and ensure crews get out of the yard in a timely manner.

● Supervise shift end ensuring damaged equipment is reported/tagged, equipment is washed and greased as required, and crews are set up for next day operations.

● Ensuring keys are returned, equipment is cleaned and fueled and parked in the correct areas.

● Supervise salt, plow shifts, ice check and snow relocations and report progress or issues to snow log

● Completes daily review of employee timesheets on LMN and approve Snow Timesheets after reviewing.

● Assist other Production Supervisors with weekly safety meetings (tailgates) with all snow staff and H&S; enforcement.

● Conduct daily huddles before crews depart from the yard.

● Monitor salt, ice melter, brine, fuel and other inventories regularly to ensure adequate levels are maintained and inform Division Manager of current levels.

● Identify recurring operational problems and recommend improvements to routes, staffing, equipment readiness, communication and service quality.

● Perform snow operations in the field as required to support the team and maintain service standards.

● Communicate effectively with employees, management, clients, and suppliers when needed.





● Attend regular pre and post storm planning meetings in person or via Teams

● Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

● Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training in Horticulture or Landscape Technology.

● CSP or ASM Designation from SIMA or working on ASIC Snow Certification through Landscape Ontario

● Minimum 5 years of experience as a Grounds Maintenance Crew Leader or Snow Production Supervisor

● 5+ Years of snow equipment operation. Specifically Ag Tractors, Loaders, Salter, Skid Steer.

● Brine application equipment knowledge would be an asset

● Small Landscape equipment repairs experience would be an asset

● Possess a valid G driver’s license or higher and a clean driving record.

● Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure and escalate issues appropriately.

Work Conditions

● Travel to off-site locations may be required

● Ability to lift or move up to 50 lb

● 40-60 hours per week

● Overtime as required

● Extended periods of time sitting, standing, walking, driving, and operating or supervising equipment.

● Extended periods of time in front of a screen using scheduling, communication, and reporting systems.

● Exposure to hazards associated with snow and ice management, winter driving, heavy equipment and outdoor work.
