We are seeking energetic and reliable Snow Removal Equipment Operators to join our dedicated winter maintenance team. Duties
- Operate truck snow plows, loaders, skid steers, sanding trucks and other heavy equipment to clear snow and ice from roads, parking lots, and walkways
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on snow removal machinery to ensure optimal performance
- Coordinate with team members to prioritize routes and manage snow removal schedules efficiently
- Apply sand, salt or de-icing materials as needed to enhance safety during winter conditions
- Monitor weather reports and prepare equipment in advance of storms for prompt response
- Maintain detailed logs of equipment usage, route completion, and safety checks
- Ensure all operations comply with safety standards and company policies
Requirements
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as loaders, skid steers, plow trucks or similar machinery in construction or municipal settings
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues and perform basic maintenance on snow removal equipment
- Valid driver’s license & clean abstract mandatory for operating trucks.
- Familiarity with Bobcat equipment or similar brand is preferred
- Equipmentoperatorcertification is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation in winter conditions
- Construction experience or background working with heavy machinery is highly desirable
