Founded in 1984, QC Career School is a pioneer in global online education with a custom, self-hosted tech ecosystem. Having successfully built our own LMS, CRM, and financial infrastructure, we are launching our next major initiative: an advanced, AI-powered marketing platform.

As a Software Developer, you will be part of a small, fast-moving team. You will assist with the development of our promotional website, internal employee website, external client website, API, and report builder.

Roles and Responsibilities

- Architect end-to-end telemetry and reporting features in MySQL—from crafting performant queries and resilient schemas to rendering dynamic dashboards, custom widgets, and exportable PDFs.
- Build the interface layer for generative AI features, translating streaming responses, tool executions, and multi-state workflows into crisp, deterministic UI states (loading, partial results, fallback errors).
- Leverage modern AI accelerators (Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot) to speed up scaffolding and refactoring while applying rigorous code-review standards so all code meets production standards.
- Turn raw Figma comps and loose specs into accessible (WCAG-compliant), performant components.




- Instrument proactive error tracking and product analytics to catch edge cases before users do, using usage data to back UX polish and performance fixes.

Your Qualifications

- Extensive experience building production web applications using React/Next.js, TypeScript, Node.js, and contemporary CSS/HTML.
- Strong expertise in relational database design, query optimization, and structuring efficient data layers for complex frontend consumption.
- Proven capability integrating LLM providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Gemini) with robust patterns for tool calling, streaming outputs, and error handling.
- Expertise in REST APIs, webhooks, auth mechanisms (JWT, OAuth2), and distributed background job queues (BullMQ/SQS/Vercel Queues).
- Proficiency with AI coding tools (e.g., Copilot) to improve productivity while maintaining rigorous standards.
- Strong communications and cross-team collaboration.

Pay: $40.00-$42.00 per hour
