Position Summary Part-Time position
Custom Training Solutions is seeking a highly experienced and technically advanced Microsoft 365 Skilled. The successful candidate possesses advanced proficiency across the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, with a specialized focus on SharePoint, OneDrive, and Excel.
The instructor will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality, practical training programs that build Microsoft 365 capability. They will facilitate engaging learning experiences that translate complex platform functionality into accessible, applicable skills. The role requires the ability to work effectively with participants across all proficiency levels, from foundational users to advanced practitioners, while maintaining the highest standards of instructional quality and client service. This position is integral to the delivery of Custom Training Solutions' client engagements and requires a professional who brings both subject matter authority and a strong command of adult learning principles.
Successful candidates will be required to conduct work within Ontario and must be available to work on campus as required. Conestoga offers classes Monday to Sunday from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Part-time Instructors typically teach 6 hours per week.
Responsibilities Evaluate student progress/achievement, assuming responsibility for the overall assessment of the students’ work within the assigned course and maintain records as required
Create and maintain a positive learning environment which supports the diversity of students’ cultures,
educational backgrounds, and learning styles
Work in a collaborative, collegial manner both within the department and across the college
Qualifications A two-year degree or diploma in Education, Instructional Design, Information Technology, Organizational Development, or a related discipline is required
Minimum of five years of progressive experience in the design and delivery of training programs, with a concentration in Microsoft 365 or enterprise technology platforms
Microsoft 365 certification is an asset
Experience building learning content in Learning Management Systems (Brightspace, D2L) is considered an asset
Evidence of ongoing professional development in Microsoft technologies and the learning and development field is expected
Demonstrated ability to facilitate instructor-led training across in-person, virtual, and blended delivery modalities for diverse organizational audiences with varying levels of prior knowledge, including frontline staff, professional teams, and senior leadership
Proficiency in instructional design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) with experience developing a full suite of training materials including facilitator guides, participant workbooks, scenario-based exercises, job aids, and learner assessments
