As a full-time Youth Support Worker at PCRS, you will play a key role in a multidisciplinary team, supporting students in Grades 10–12 and addressing their unique barriers to learning. Your skills in program development and behavior management will be vital in fostering positive educational outcomes within a flexible schedule, sometimes requiring evening and weekend availability.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide culturally safe support services in-class
• Establish connections to community resources
• Engage youth in pro-social activities outside school
• Participate in physical activities such as sports
• Complete daily case notes and paperwork
Requirements:
• 2-Year Diploma in Child and Youth Care or related field
• 1 year relevant experience in a secondary school
• Solid understanding of developmental behavior
• Ability to assess and manage youth behavior
• Willingness to collaborate with teaching staff
