This position is responsible for using groomer equipment and techniques that are essential to maintaining ski and snowboard terrain at Blue Mountain Resort on time and to the highest standards.* Groom primarily green and blue runs and at times assist Groomer Operators – II, Team Leads and Managers on Duty with more difficult terrain and builds* Perform pre shift circle checks and paperwork - post shift duties including housekeeping duties and mandatory paperwork* Recognize and report equipment issues and property damage* Work with a GPS system to improve decision making and increase efficiency* Recognize and report or repair potential safety issues including but not limited to lighting, signage, padding and/or poor skiing/snowboarding surfaces* Maintain a valuable working relationships and open communication with Snowmaking, Slope Maintenance, Patrol, Lifts, Terrain Park, Events and other on-hill staff**WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?*** Valid G License in good standing* Able to work independently* Previous grooming experience an asset* Mechanical skills an asset* Knowledge of Resort winter terrain an asset*\*This role is being posted to fill a vacant position*
