Career Opportunity
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced full time Receiver to join our Distribution Centre team located in Halifax, NS. Our ideal candidate is energetic and has a positive & collaborative 'can-do' attitude with great attention to detail and drive to reach targets. Those looking for a role where they can contribute and learn in equal measure will fit in well.

Responsibilities

Unload goods from delivery vehicles.

Verify accuracy of deliveries.

Complete paperwork for incoming deliveries.

Work with Purchasing Department to correct any issues with product UPC codes.

General Bin maintenance.

Replenish Bins with incoming goods.

Review customer complaints, investigating where/if an error occurred.

Ensuring all Health & Safety protocols are adhered to.

Participating in continuous improvement activities.

Performing general cleaning duties to maintain a clean and safe environment.

Work effectively as a team, use and learn from each other's knowledge and support your co-workers.

Demonstrate our company culture and values.

Perform other duties as required.





Qualifications & Core Competencies

High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate

Previous inventory, retail, and receiving experience is preferred

Experience using a pallet jack and forklift is an asset, but not required - full training provided

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Natural sense of urgency, ability to perform in a fast-paced environment

Proven organization, time management, and prioritization skills

Strong problem solving, decision making, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills

Self-motivated

Strong team player

Demonstrated professionalism

Detail oriented

Location: 3695 Barrington Street, Halifax, NS B3K 2Y3

Job Type: Full time (37.5hours). OT starts at 40 hours.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm. Occasional evenings and weekends may be required as needed to meet business needs.
