OverviewSenior Estimator– Mississauga, ONSalary:$110,000-$150,000 (based upon experience)Reference # 16816683The OpportunityWe have partnered with an established Construction Contractor who is seeking to hire a Senior Estimator with Water/Wastewater construction experience for their Mississauga location. With a robust reputation for developing innovative and tailored solutions, this company has a track record of delivering complex projects on time and on budget across the GTA and Ontario.The RoleReporting to the Director of Preconstruction, the Senior Estimator is responsible for the quantification, cost estimation, and bid preparation for all construction projects. The Senior Estimator will work closely with the Project Management Team in the preparation of estimates, project initiation and planning.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the preparation of project prequalification and proposalsConduct detailed review and analysis of contract documents prior to tender closingIdentify project risks and opportunities, making risk mitigation recommendationsComplete quantity take-offs from plans and drawingsManage bids and quotes from subcontractors,



vendors and suppliersPrepare critical path construction scheduleLead the Estimating team during tender closingsCollaborate with stakeholders to ensure project requirements are accurately reflected in estimatesCoordinate with the construction team for seamless transition to project executionMentor Junior EstimatorsKey RequirementsCollege Diploma or University Degree in Construction or EngineeringEight (8) to twelve (12) years of construction estimating experience with a general contractor, ideally in a heavy civil environmentPossess an understanding of the local market and have an established network of subcontractors and suppliersAbility to read and interpret plans, drawings, sketches, schematics and contract specificationsStrong communication skills (written and verbal)Key Technology RequirementsExceptional knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)Experience with On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam, Timberline, MS Project, Primavera P6 or other estimating software.What 's In It For YouCompetitive compensation and benefits packageProfit Sharing opportunitiesProfessional development opportunitiesMatching RRSP programEmployee Family Assistance ProgramWhat To Do NextClick applyif you think this role is for you.
