As a member of our team, you’ll have a fulfilling career while working in a collaborative workplace where support for you is prioritized.About the RoleReporting to the Senior Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of building maintenance, systems operations, and site safety within their assigned community. You will lead preventative maintenance programs, coordinate projects and contractors, manage maintenance requests, and ensure timely, high-quality service across all building systems. This role also includes supervising and developing maintenance team members, supporting budgeting and planning, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesLead Maintenance OperationsOversee all maintenance of building systems, equipment, and infrastructurePlan and manage preventive maintenance programsEnsure timely repair and resolution of maintenance issuesMaintain clean, safe, and well‑functioning environmentsProject & Vendor ManagementLead site projects including scope, budgeting, and contractor coordinationSource and manage external vendors and service providersEnsure compliance with WorkSafe BC and safety standardsTeam LeadershipProvide daily leadership, coaching, and support to maintenance team membersSupport hiring, onboarding,



and performance managementSchedule work and ensure effective coverage and service deliverySafety & CompliancePromote a strong health and safety cultureEnsure compliance with regulations, policies, and proceduresParticipate in safety inspections, training, and incident investigationsProvide on‑call support for emergencies as requiredQualificationsEducation & ExperiencePost‑secondary education in building maintenance or a skilled trade (or equivalent experience)Minimum 5 years’ experience in building and systems maintenanceExperience with building automation systems and contractorsLeadership and team supervision experienceExperience in long‑term care or unionized environments is an assetSkills & CompetenciesStrong knowledge of maintenance best practices and building systemsExcellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skillsStrong problem‑solving and organizational abilitiesAbility to manage competing priorities and work independentlyWe know great candidates don’t always meet every requirement.
