Our client is seeking a capable and dedicated Livestock Manager to oversee operations on their extensive farm property near Kimberley . This role is responsible for the health, welfare, and productivity of all livestock, including cattle and sheep. You will manage breeding programs, feeding schedules, disease prevention, and staff responsible for animal husbandry. This is a hands-on position for an experienced individual committed to best practices in animal agriculture and contributing to the success of a significant farming operation in the Northern Cape. Key Responsibilities
Manage the daily care and well-being of livestock, ensuring adherence to high welfare standards. Develop and implement effective breeding, feeding, and vaccination programs. Monitor livestock health, diagnose illnesses, and administer appropriate treatments. Supervise and train farmhands involved in animal husbandry tasks. Maintain records of livestock inventory,
health status, and production data. Requirements
Degree or Diploma in Animal Science, Agriculture, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in livestock management, preferably with cattle and sheep. Strong knowledge of animal nutrition, reproduction, and veterinary care. Experience with farm management software and record-keeping.
