We are seeking Canadian citizens or Permanent Residents with 3+ years of experience in Air Imports.
Experience with Cargowise software is a plus.

The role of Air Import Coordinator contributes to the success of the company and to its long term growth to achieve the new Vision. The Air Import Coordinator is responsible for ensuring pro-active timely, accurate and quality operational policies, systems and processes are followed to ensure every client shipment is tracked and communicated.
Job Description:

- Achieve Department and personal objectives for the Year.
- Continued nurturing of the relationship and growth of existing and new customers.
- Ensuring Air Imports is functioning consistent with ITN values, strategies, and objectives.
- Provide superior service to customers in all aspects of Air Imports.
- Keeping customers informed with booking confirmations, pre-alerts.
- Arrange collection and transportation of goods with overseas agents.




- Communicating shipment updates and pick-ups with overseas agents.
- Issuance of manifest, delivery request, and releases.
- Preparing profit share calculations and negotiate rates with carriers, agents, and related vendors.
- Ensuring billing and collections are done in a timely and systematic manner.
- Reviewing and approving vendor/agent debit/credit notes.
- Other administrative functions for the dept.

Essential Criteria:

- Superior knowledge of the Logistics industry and the key players within the industry nationally and globally.
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to encourage a team-based approach, and develop excellent relationships with customers and ITN Departments.
- A logical mind with the capacity to overcome difficult problems creatively
- Positive organisational skills together with the ability to prioritise functions.
- The ability to communicate effectively (both orally and in writing).
- Ability to work well with all levels of management, executive leadership and support staff, and to be able to manage high pressure or crisis situations calmly.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Recognize how to maximize profits.
- Knowledge of Air freight operation, documentation, regulations and equipment.
- Ensures that the IT resources are being used for maximum productivity.
