Club K.I.D.S Instructor - Summer CampsLocation:7650 Grand Street, Mission, BCRate of Pay:$20.30 - $22.30 per hour plus 4% vacation pay.Position Type:Seasonal, contract.Mission Parks, Recreation and Culture Department is looking for Recreation Instructors for our Summer Camp programs. The role involves working with children ages 5-12, ensuring their safety and well-being, communicating with participants, parents, supervisors, and community agencies, and planning, leading, and supporting developmentally appropriate activities for the Club K.I.D.S. program.Plan, lead, and support developmentally appropriate and engaging activities for children enrolled in the Club K.I.D.S. program.Work with children in an enthusiastic, respectful, and friendly manner.Assist groups of children in a camp setting and provide 1:1 support to designated children requiring additional behavioral, social,



or inclusion support.Maintain safety and well-being of participants throughout the program day.Understanding of child development including physical, intellectual, creative, and emotional needs.Knowledge of the Care and Assisted Living Act.Solid communication, conflict resolution, problem solving, and leadership skills.Proven sound judgment and ethical decision making, ability to stay calm under pressure.Minimum 20 hours Responsible Adult training and a valid Standard First Aid with CPR certificate.University education, BCRPA High Five, NCCP certification considered assets.Ability to participate in swimming, skating, and other recreation activities; frequent walking to program locations.Must be at least 19 years old; Vulnerable SectorCriminal Record Check required.Successful candidates will be available from June 29 to August 28, 2026, 7:30am-6pm.
