: The Nutrition and Food Services Area Specialist works with the NFS Leadership Team, sharing responsibility for ensuring safe, high quality nutrition and food services by providing expertise to SHA facilities that do not have direct oversight from an NFS Manager. This position supports Health Services managers and directors in solving operational challenges across diverse food service operations. Working in collaboration with the NFS Provincial Specialists and Director team, the Area Specialist identifies, researches and advances key initiatives within the context of problem solving, finding efficiencies and attaining strategic goals.

Relying on their expertise, networking and problem-solving skills, the Area Specialist develops strategies, implements standard work and continuously evaluates progress, course correcting when required, to ensure optimization of services at the local level and provincially.

Experience

- 3-5 years' experience in Nutrition and Food Services




- Experience developing and leading innovative programs in a complex environment

Education

- Undergraduate Degree or diploma in Food Service Management

Licenses

- Valid Class 5 driver's license

Other Education and Training

- Registered/eligible registration with appropriate licensing body if applicable
