JOB OVERVIEW
As a Senior Officer, Accounting, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, reliability and integrity of accounting records, with a primary focus on the general ledger and fixed assets subsidiary ledger. Working closely with the Manager Accounting, you will perform account reconciliations, contribute to the preparation of financial reports and the NCC’s financial statements, perform treasury management functions and support year-end audit activities.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
A degree from a recognized university with an acceptable specialization in accounting, finance, business administration or commerce, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
EXPERIENCE
Maintenance of accounting ledgers and preparation of reconciliations, including journal entries.
Preparation of financial reports, including financial statements and related note disclosures.
Preparation of supporting documentation for the year-end audit of financial statements.
KNOWLEDGE
Of use of software tools, specifically electronic spreadsheets and financial systems.
Of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and practices.
ABILITIES
