Take a stand for young people's rights with the Office of the Child and Youth Advocate in Edmonton. This full time Advocate role empowers youth within the child intervention and youth justice systems.

The OCYA is seeking a dedicated Advocate to collaborate with young people, families, and community stakeholders in central and northern Alberta. Your role will focus on understanding and voicing the rights and interests of youth, promoting their engagement in impactful decisions. You will be an integral part of a team addressing systemic issues and advocating for young people's voices.

Key Responsibilities:
• Empower young people to express their viewpoints
• Meet with youth, families, and stakeholders regularly




• Identify systemic trends within advocacy efforts
• Educate communities about youth rights and the OCYA
• Collaborate with teams on OCYA’s strategic priorities

Requirements:
• University degree in social work, law, or social sciences
• Minimum four years' experience with youth in related systems
• Supervisory experience is preferred
• Valid class 5 driver's license required
• Experience with Indigenous communities is an asset
