Select is partnering with our client to recruit a proactive and detail-driven Laboratory Technician to support quality and testing operations within an agricultural processing environment. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining a well-run lab, consistently verifies results, and brings curiosity and initiative to their work. The successful candidate is comfortable asking questions, identifying gaps, and contributing to continuous improvement.

Compensation & Hours: The rate of pay will be $21-23/hr, depending on experience
This is a full-time, temporary position
Monday - Friday, rotating shifts may be required
Position Summary: Perform laboratory testing to verify product quality and compliance with established standards
Accurately collect, prepare, and analyze samples for evaluation
Record and validate test results with a strong focus on accuracy and consistency
Maintain lab equipment, supplies, cleanliness, and safe working conditions
Prepare solutions and handle chemicals following safety protocols
Support quality assurance activities, including seed sample processing
Communicate findings,
irregularities, or concerns to supervisors
Follow laboratory procedures and contribute to process improvements
Assist with testing new processes or products when required
Required Qualifications: High School Diploma (required)
Basic laboratory or quality-related experience
Strong attention to detail and ability to double-check work
QA or seed sample processing experience considered an asset
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Comfortable working around chemicals, dust, and in varying environmental conditions
Physically able to perform repetitive tasks, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in elevated areas
Bonus Points For: Two-year diploma or post-secondary education in Agriculture, Chemistry, Biology, Food Science, or a related field
Experience in seed processing, manufacturing, light industrial, or quality assurance environments
Knowledge of production agriculture
