A little about our Centres for Early Development At Mothercraft, we are dedicated to providing exceptional child care and early learning experiences that promote healthy development for all families. Our centers for Early Development (CEDs) embody this commitment, offering enriching full day programs for children aged 3 months to 4 years. We currently operate five child care centers, Brookfield Place, Eaton Center, Robertson House, Midtown, and Avondale and are opening three new centers, York Heights, Village Gate, and Norton Lake. Our CEDs are designed to support busy families while providing a safe and nurturing environment where children can excel.
CED Locations and Operating Hours Robertson House CED- 32 Heath Street West, Toronto, 7:30am to 6:00pm
Eaton Center CED- 14 Trinity Square, Toronto, 7:30am to 5:45pm
Brookfield Place CED, 10 Front Street West, Toronto, 7:30am to 5:45pm
Midtown CED, 44 Lillian Street, Toronto, 7:30am to 6:00pm
York Heights CED, 15 York Garden Way, North York, 7:30am to 6:00pm (Projected to open November / December 2026)
Village Gate CED, 5143 Dundas Street West, Etobicoke, 7:30am to 6:00pm (Projected to open November / December 2026)
Norton Lake CED, 1155 Queen Street East, Brampton,

Job Summary Asour newest Early Childhood Assistant , you will play a crucial role inshaping the development of the young minds in our care. You will be responsiblefor creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children canlearn and grow.
Your passionfor early childhood education and ability to connect with children on theirlevel will be instrumental in fostering a positive and engaging atmosphere.You’ll work alongside a team of dedicated educators and support staff,collaborating to provide the highest quality care and education for ourchildren. As an Early Childhood Assistant, you will...
Assist in providing care for the physical andemotional needs of children
Develop and encourage positive and secure relationshipswith children
Assist with program planning and implementationand the preparation and implementation of a culturally sensitive programplan
Promote the development and well-being of childrenthrough an enriched physical and social environment
Communicate with families, other staff and themanager, keeping the manager informed of any concerns
Provide a safe physical environment for children
Split Shift availability is a requirement.
You will be set up for success if youhave… Minimum one (1) year of work experience with children and families. Please note student placements completed as part of an Early Childhood Assistant training program will be considered an asset
Early Childhood Assistant certificate or equivalent preferred
Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check
Immunizations and health assessment incompliance with the Child Care and Early Years Act
Standard First Aid & CPR CCertificate
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds (.lbs)
French language skills is an asset
Asthe ideal candidate, you possess… Excellent written and verbal communication skills
