Role Description The Sprinkler Designer is a full-time, on-site role based in Winnipeg, MB, responsible for designing fire sprinkler systems that meet applicable codes, standards, and project specifications. Day-to-day tasks include preparing detailed layout drawings, hydraulic calculations, and material lists using design software and CAD tools.

The role involves reviewing architectural and structural plans, coordinating with project managers, installers, and inspectors, and updating designs based on site conditions and client requirements.

The Sprinkler

Designer will also assist with permitting documentation, maintain accurate records,



and support quality assurance and compliance efforts throughout each project.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated ability to design fire sprinkler systems, including reading blueprints, preparing layout drawings, and performing basic hydraulic calculations.
- Proficiency with CAD or sprinkler design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools) and strong technical drafting skills.
- Knowledge of relevant fire protection codes and standards (such as NFPA and local building codes) and willingness to stay current with regulatory requirements.
- Robust analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in design documentation.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with internal teams, contractors, and inspectors.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a rapid-paced, on-site environment.
- Relevant technical diploma or degree in fire protection design experience is an asset.
- Previous experience in fire protection
