We are expanding our design team and are looking for a skilled, creative and incredibly detail-oriented Designer to join us.

As a Designer, you will support a high-performing design and consulting team to create custom kitchens, bathrooms, and lifestyle spaces that look as stunning on screen as they do in reality. Your attention to detail and strength with numbers combined with our technology will enable you to create functional and beautiful spaces that are reflective of our clients’ needs, expectations, and budget. Through your designs, you will help us to inspire the imagination of our clients!

Duties / Responsibilities:

· Work with our Managing Director and team of internal designers to

· Develop, design and finalize accurate and detailed floor plans, interior and exterior drawings for our client group

· Design custom cabinetry and millwork in Draftsight, Auto Cad etc.

· Research concepts, materials, and installation methods to support design team on technical elements of design

· Ensure designs are beautiful, yet functional, and are in compliance with building code standards

· Work within YouNique’s design framework/system to comply with internal procedures

· Create detailed installation and rough-in packages for our trade partners

· Remain up-to-date on kitchen, bathroom and home-design trends

· Conduct in-home visits to take final measurements

· Cover showroom floor hours five (5) days per week Monday-Friday as scheduled,



there will be flexibility on showroom days

· Assist with walk-in customers in showroom

Qualifications:

· College Diploma or equivalent work experience (bathroom and kitchen design)

· BCIN ideal, however willing to consider someone with strong draft abilities and architectural technologies

· Demonstrated ability to read and understand building plans

· Proficient in CAD systems like Auto Cad, Draftsight, Chief Architect etc.

· Demonstrated understanding of basic principles of space planning

· Understanding of technical specs for appliances, sinks and faucets

· Ability to create transparent trade packages

· G Class Driver’s Licence (Required)

· Self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a diverse team

· Robust interpersonal skills required to communicate with a broad range of individuals including design consultants, clients, installers, contractors and suppliers

· Strong problem-solving skills with a meticulous eye for detail

· Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously

· Creative flair with a passion for interior design

Our experience in general construction, residential builds and renovations combined with our Consulting & Design expertise offers comprehensive services to our clients.

We partner with homeowners across Ontario in their interior renovations and custom home builds.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $45,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
