Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Stamping Department Lead Hand to join our team. The stamping department lead hand will be responsible for the die changes, set-ups and start-ups. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of mechanical stamping press machines, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to workplace safety. Knowledge of progressive & transfer dies an asset.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform die, set-ups and start-ups of dies and stamping presses and secondary machinery.
- Organize and schedule production of stamping and welding products.
- Responsible for maintaining high quality level of parts and minimizing scrap levels.
- Responsible for production troubleshooting.
- Responsible for the testing of new materials and products.
- Receive raw materials.
- Maintain inventory levels for production and collaborate with purchasing.
- Maintain production quality standards and ensure compliance with QMS standards.




- Enter labour tickets on computer system and document any process changes.
- Operate forklift, change coils and totes.
- Train new employees.
- Provide assistance to plant manager and other supervisors as needed.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 5+ years experience as a setup technician or similar role in an industrial setting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong English communication skills and teamwork abilities.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects, stand, and work in various positions for extended periods.
- Forklift certification.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $28.00-$33.00 per hour
