Sandhills Manufacturing, an established, family run stair and railing company serving the Edmonton metro area, requires 2 full time estimators, one for its Finished Stair and Railing Division located in West Edmonton, and another for its Construction Stair Division located in Spruce Grove.
Applicants should possess good computer skills, with knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word being significant to these positions. A good eye for details and organizational skills are seen as a priority as well. Design and/or CAD experience could be useful to either position.
Previous Estimating or Construction related experience is preferred but not essential. Knowledge of the construction industry, or experience with trades, builders, or estimating would be beneficial.
The candidates will be responsible for:
- Learning and understanding the basic design and components of stair and railing systems
- Receiving,
printing and understanding residential construction plans
- Estimating stair and/or railing costs
- Timely communication and delivery of completed quotes to customers
- Requesting and organizing customer purchase orders
- Communicating with customers via phone, email, and builder portals.
We offer a competitive wage based on experience. Employees will receive access to a health spending account after a 3 month probationary period ends. Office hours 8:00am – 4:30pm Monday to Friday, no overtime required.
