Job Summary

Lantec Fabricating is a leader in the manufacturing and installation of architectural and structural steel in the Lower Mainland and Greater Vancouver area. We are seeking a versatile and detail-oriented Steel Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming raw steel materials into exact, high-quality components used in construction, industrial, and architectural projects.

Your skills in welding, blueprint reading, and assembly will ensure that each project meets our standards of craftsmanship.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately fabricate steel components.
- Operate various power tools and hand tools to cut, shape, and assemble steel parts, including plasma cutters, press brake, sheer, saws and welding equipment.
- Perform FCAW and MCAW welding processes to join steel pieces.




- Use measuring tapes and other measuring tools to ensure dimensional accuracy during fabrication processes.
- Operate cranes, forklifts, and rigging equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to company safety protocols.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience in steel fabrication, minimum 3 years.
- Skilled in FCAW, GMAW welding, plasma cutting, and the use of shop equipment.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Familiarity with rigging techniques, crane operation, forklift handling, and basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
- Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and safety procedures in a manufacturing or construction setting.

Pay: $26.00-$43.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
