We are seeking a detail-oriented and effective Sterilization Technician to join our dental practice. This vital role ensures the highest standards of infection control and sterilization of dental instruments, contributing to a safe and effective patient care environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of dental procedures, medical terminology, and sterilization protocols, with experience in dental assisting and familiarity with dental software such as Cleardent.

Duties
- Properly clean, sterilize, and package dental instruments using approved techniques and equipment
- Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of all areas in the clinic
- Support the dental team by following established sterilization and infection control protocols
- Maintain sterilization logs and ensure compliance with OSHA and CDC guidelines
- Prepare sterilized instruments for use in various dental procedures
- Support the dental team by providing sterile instruments promptly during patient appointments
- Adhere to all safety protocols related to infection control and hazardous material handling
- Collaborate with dental assistants, hygienists, and reception staff to ensure smooth clinic operations
- Utilize dental software such as Cleardent for record keeping and tracking sterilization cycles
Qualifications
- Prior experience in dental assisting or sterilization familiarity with Cleadent preferred but not required
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain strict sterilization standards
- Ability to follow detailed protocols and safety procedures accurately
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Certification or training in infection control or sterilization techniques is desirable but not required
