We are currently seeking an experienced Superintendent to join our team on a major AltaGas Project in Prince Rupert, BC . Working on a fly-in, fly-out rotation, you'll join a collaborative team delivering some of the most challenging and rewarding marine construction projects in British Columbia.

Location: Prince Rupert, BC

Project: Major AltaGas Infrastructure Project

Rotation: 14 Days On / 7 Days Off

Travel & Accommodation: Company Paid

Salary: $140,000 - $160,000 per year

Your Impact on the Water
As Superintendent, you will be the driving force behind daily field operations, ensuring marine construction activities are executed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.





Key Responsibilities
Safety Leadership

Champion a culture of safety across all project activities.

Lead by example and ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental requirements.

Promote and support VanPile's commitment to ensuring every employee returns home safely.

Marine Construction Execution

Lead early works construction activities for marine terminals, jetties, ports, and related infrastructure.

Oversee heavy piling, foundation installation, dredging, excavation, and marine structure construction.

Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications.

Resource Management

Coordinate labour, subcontractors, vessels, equipment, and materials.

Lead and supervise multidisciplinary crews of 50+ workers.

Optimize resource utilization to achieve productivity and schedule targets.

Project Delivery

Manage the construction lifecycle from mobilization through project completion.

Monitor project progress and proactively identify and resolve challenges.

Support weekly planning and review meetings to maintain schedule performance.

Stakeholder Relationships

Build and maintain strong client, subcontractor, and community relationships.

What You Bring
Qualifications & Experience

Minimum 7 years of successful leadership experience on large-scale marine construction projects.

Extensive experience in marine piling, marine foundations, dredging, ports, terminals, jetties, or similar infrastructure projects.

Strong understanding of marine construction methods, codes, standards, and best practices.

Proven experience managing large field crews and subcontractors.

Intermediate computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and email applications.

Valid driver's license.

Competitive Compensation
$140,000 - $160,000 annually

Compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, internal equity, and Carlson Construction Group compensation practices.
