School Age Educator & Site Supervisors – ChathamChatham, ON, CanadaPositionSchool Age Site Supervisors and Educators in Chatham.CompensationMembers of the College of Early Childhood Educators, Ontario – $26.00 - $27.00 per hour (includes government wage enhancements)Non-Members – up to $22.50 per hour (includes government wage enhancements)BenefitsComplimentary YMCA personal membership to our Health & Fitness facilities and discounts on YMCA child care and camp programs.Vacation entitlement in accordance with employment standards regulations, and up to 3 paid personal days annually.Supportive network of colleagues.Complimentary access to wellness and counselling services.Opportunity to contribute to meaningful impact in the lives of children and youth.ScheduleMonday through Friday, following the elementary school calendar.Morning program 7:15 am – 9:00 am.Afternoon program 2:30 pm – 6:00 pm (varies with location).Number of shifts per week depends on availability.Potential additional full‑day shifts on professional development days and breaks.Personal availability to be submitted 4 weeks in advance via web‑based scheduling system.Commitment to supporting a family of schools within a reasonable proximity.In this role, you will:Plan and deliver a consistent, child‑centered program for elementary‑age children, in accordance with our YMCA curriculum.Provide quality compassionate care and support to children and their families.Ensure supervision and safety of children at all times; understand and comply with provincial (CCEYA),
municipal and YMCA policies and procedures.Be committed to diversity, equity, inclusion and building a sense of belonging.Embrace and exemplify the Y’s core values.Education & Skills QualificationsExperience working with children 4–12 years in a work or school placement setting is an asset.Plans to enroll, or currently pursuing, a diploma in Early Childhood Education, or in pursuit or holds a diploma or a degree in a related field of study is an asset.Early Childhood Education graduates must be registered (or proof that registration is in process) and in good standing in the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE).Graduates in a related field of study must be members of their associations as required.Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Level C certification or date of training scheduled within the next three months. Training cost and time are at the applicant’s expense and not reimbursed.Applicants must be a minimum of 18 years old to obtain a current Vulnerable Criminal Reference Check (less than 6 months old).Up‑to‑date immunizations required by Public Health, Ministry of Education and YMCASWO.Ability to use frequent light to medium physical effort: lifting up to 20 kg (44 lbs.), bending, and stooping.Legally entitled to work in Canada.Demonstrate the Y’s core values: Caring, Honesty, Respect & Responsibility, and Inclusivity.Display qualities such as fun, enthusiasm, friendliness, hard work, dependability, positivity, teamwork, professionalism, effective communication with employees and members, and enjoyment of a social setting.#J-18808-Ljbffr
