RQ11449 - Software Developer - Senior Organization: Land & Resources Cluster Ministry: Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement Work Model: 100% Onsite 5 days/week Openings: 1 Security Clearance: Not Required Project Overview The PEP OPSDocs Metadata and CIS Model Transition project supports the Government of Ontarios Modernization of Property Information (MPI) initiative.

The project involves enhancing OPSDocs by adding approximately 23 metadata fields to new and historical documents and aligning folder structures with the updated MECP CIS model.

Development will be delivered using Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Role Overview We are seeking a Senior Software Developer with strong Java/JEE, IBM, Azure, database, integration, and content management experience.

The successful candidate will design, develop, test, deploy, and support enterprise applications and migration solutions.

Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, debug, deploy, and maintain enterprise applications.

Develop solutions using Java, Spring Boot, JPA, EJB, Angular, NodeJS , and related technologies.

Build and integrate RESTful and SOAP web services and microservices.

Develop and maintain IBM ODM and IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW) solutions.

Develop applications using IBM Web

Sphere and Liberty application servers.

Create PL/SQL queries, stored procedures, migration scripts, and staging tables .

Develop scripts and solutions for data migration and metadata transformation.

Integrate with Open

Text Content Management System APIs to maintain document metadata.

Support Azure Cloud, Dev

Ops, CI/CD, Docker,



and enterprise integrations.

Develop AODA-compliant interfaces and accessible documents/PDFs .

Perform unit, functional, load, and regression testing.

Prepare technical documentation, deployment guides, and system documentation.

Collaborate with Business Analysts, QA teams, architects, and project stakeholders in an Agile environment.

Required Qualifications 10+ years of experience designing and developing JEE/Java applications .

Strong Java development experience with Spring Boot, JPA, EJB, Angular, NodeJS, and Java

Script .

Solid experience with REST/SOAP APIs and microservices .

Hands-on experience with IBM Web

Sphere, Liberty, IBM ODM, and/or IBM BAW .

Strong PL/SQL and Oracle experience, including migration and data transformation.

Experience with Open

Text CMS APIs and metadata management .

Experience with Azure Cloud, CI/CD, Docker, and Dev

Ops .

Experience with AODA accessibility standards and Ontario Government IT standards such as GO-ITS 54.

Experience with Agile/Scrum and full SDLC delivery.

Strong troubleshooting, analytical, documentation, and communication skills.

Nice to Have Experience with Ontario Public Service (OPS) or other public-sector environments.

Experience with permitting platforms or government modernization initiatives.

Experience with Rational Software Architect, Rational Application Developer, Selenium, and Azure Dev

Ops.

Experience working with enterprise content management and document migration projects.

Work Arrangement 5 days onsite per week at 40 St.
