Support residents' well-being as a Recreation Therapy Aide at AgeCare Dawson, Chestermere. This casual position focuses on facilitating recreational activities for engagement and independence.

In this role, you’ll contribute to both planned and spontaneous recreational opportunities for residents. You will be responsible for maintaining departmental records, supporting quality improvement initiatives, and ensuring that recreation supplies and equipment are in optimal condition. Flexibility in availability for work shifts is essential, including days, evenings, and weekends.

Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain and complete required resident documentation
• Evaluate and enhance the recreation program as needed
• Ensure recreation supplies meet safety standards




• Work a variety of shifts, including weekends
• Travel for training or educational meetings as required

Requirements:
• Diploma or degree in Recreation or related field
• Current enrollment in a relevant educational program
• Experience in healthcare recreation services is a plus
• Ability to adapt in a dynamic care setting
• Willingness to obtain a Vulnerable Sector Check
