Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Stone Mason to join our agile construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for shaping, installing, and restoring stonework to create durable, aesthetically pleasing structures. Your expertise will contribute to a variety of projects, including building facades, retaining walls, fireplaces, and restoration of historic stonework.

Responsibilities

- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute stonework projects
- Use hand tools such as chisels, hammers, trowels, and levels to shape and set stones with precision
- Operate power tools including grinders, drills, and saws safely and effectively to cut and shape stones
- Mix mortar and caulking materials for binding stones securely in place during construction or restoration projects
- Read and understand schematics to ensure proper placement and alignment of stones according to design specifications
- Handle heavy equipment operation when necessary for lifting or positioning large stones or materials




- Perform renovation and restoration work on historic or damaged stone structures with meticulous care
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials efficiently throughout each project phase

Experience

- Proven construction experience with a focus on masonry or stonework
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment relevant to masonry tasks
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Experience in renovation or restoration projects involving historic or damaged stone structures is highly desirable
- Knowledge of masonry techniques including laying bricks, blocks, or natural stones with precision
- Familiarity with safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and construction sites
