About The Role

What’s happening around Riverbend ? You’ll be the one capturing it.

From a busy day in the store to a community event, a great local product, a team member with a story to tell, or a moment that deserves to be shared… we’re looking for a Student Content Creator to help us capture what makes Riverbend Co-op part of the community.

Working approximately 16-20 hours per month , you’ll create photos, videos, reels, stories, and captions for our social channels while gaining hands-on experience in marketing, photography, video, and storytelling.

You’ll get to explore, create, experiment, and bring your own perspective to how Riverbend Co-op shows up online, while building a portfolio with work that’s actually seen in the communities you call home.

What You Will Be Doing:

- Capture the good stuff . Take photos and videos of the people, products, services, events, promotions, locations, and community moments that make Riverbend Co-op unique.
- Turn moments into content . Come up with ideas for reels, stories, posts, captions, behind-the-scenes clips, product features, and local stories that people actually want to watch and share.
- Bring the Riverbend vibe online . Help make our social media feel fresh, creative, positive, local, and connected to the communities around us.
- Learn as you create . Work alongside our Marketing & Community Relations Manager to plan content,

gather details, develop ideas, and turn them into content that’s ready to share.
- Get out and connect . Meet and interact with team members, customers, members, and community partners while capturing the stories and moments happening around Riverbend.
- Create with purpose . Follow our brand, privacy, safety, and approval guidelines so your content is fun, respectful, accurate, and something we’re proud to share.
- Bring your ideas. We want your creativity, energy, and perspective. Try new things, take feedback, complete your training, and jump in wherever your creative skills can make an impact.

What You Need:

- A creative spark . You’re a high school student or recent graduate who loves creating, trying new things, and putting your own spin on ideas.
- A love for content. You enjoy taking photos, filming videos, making reels, writing captions, or simply spotting those “wait, that would make a great post” moments.
- Social media know-how. You’re comfortable using platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Canva, or similar tools…and you’re excited to keep learning.
- Positive people skills. You’re friendly, approachable, and comfortable connecting with team members, customers, members, and people in the community.
- A reliable attitude. You can take direction, welcome feedback, meet deadlines,

and know how to keep things professional while still having fun.
- Good content instincts . You understand that great content should be creative and attention-grabbing, but also respectful, appropriate, and something Riverbend Co-op can proudly share.
- A connection to our communities . You live in Davidson, Outlook, or another community within Riverbend Co-op’s trading area.
- A device to create with . Access to a smartphone or device that takes quality photos and videos is an asset.

What You Will Get:

- Get paid to create . Gain real, hands-on work experience with Riverbend Co-op while doing something creative.
- Build your portfolio . Create photos, videos, reels, and social content that actually gets used and seen in the community.
- Learn from the pros. Get mentorship, feedback, and support while building practical skills in marketing, social media, photography, video, and storytelling.
- Try something new . Bring your ideas, experiment, and discover what kind of creative work gets you excited.
- Make a difference locally. Help tell the stories of our people, communities, and Co-op moments and see your work make an impact close to home.
- Have a little extra support. You’ll also have access to our Employee & Family Assistance Program.

Application Closing Date This opportunity is open to both internal and external candidates until September 24 at 4:00 PM .

Only those selected for an interview will be contacted. If you require accommodation during the recruitment process, please let us know, we are happy to support an inclusive and accessible experience. If you have any questions, please email [email protected] .
