Adecco is currently hiring a Manufacturing Buyer for a full-time opportunity within a manufacturing environment in Kanata, ON.
This role is ideal for an experienced purchasing professional with a background in procurement, supply chain, materials planning, inventory management, and manufacturing operations.
As the Buyer, you will be responsible for sourcing raw materials, MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) supplies, and production components to support manufacturing operations while ensuring inventory, cost, quality, and delivery objectives are achieved.

Process purchasing requirements through MRP systems and monitor material availability.
Expedite parts and materials to ensure production schedules and delivery commitments are met.
Create, modify, reschedule, and cancel purchase orders as required.
Monitor inventory levels and support inventory control initiatives.
Maintain accurate purchasing, supplier, inventory, and procurement records.
Coordinate material flow throughout the production cycle.
Track shortages, open purchase orders, and supplier performance.
Work with suppliers to obtain quotes, pricing, product availability, and delivery schedules.
Support corrective action requests and quality-related supplier issues.
Request and maintain Certificates of Compliance and other required documentation.
Assist in evaluating suppliers based on quality, delivery performance, cost, and business requirements.
Support supplier development and onboarding activities.
Collaborate with Production, Quality, Inventory Control, and Operations teams to ensure material requirements are met.
Qualifications and Skills: Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. 3-5 years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience.
Experience purchasing within a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems and purchasing processes.
Experience managing supplier relationships and purchase orders.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Knowledge of inventory control, material planning, and production support processes.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Experience working with ERP or MRP systems is considered an asset.
