Role purpose:
Asa Valve Engineeryoucontribute to the design, analysis, testing and optimizationof the system to ensure fluids (liquid, or gas) move through a system safely, efficiently, and under control.Youensuredesigns are robust, testable, manufacturable, and meet program performance, cost, and scheduleobjectives.You will work cross-functionally with structures,avionicsand manufacturing teams to take your hardware from concept through qualification. The role is idealfor someone who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and wants to see their designs tested, iterated, and flown.
Core responsibilities
Participate in component design, P&ID; development, determining and describing the test campaign scope, facility planning, equipment layout
Develop and manage engineering documentation, and BOMs within the company’s ERP system to support manufacturing and supply chain activities.
Collaborate with project managers, system engineers, electrical engineers, mechanical and process engineers to ensure integrated system designs.
Support and supervise manufacturing and test teams during fabrication, assembly, and testing.
Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or a closely related engineering discipline;Master’sdegree is an asset.
4+ years of experience in mechanical design of fluid/gas control elements (like: pressure/flow regulators, isolation valves, solenoid/pneumatic valves, etc. ) for nuclear, medical, chemical or aviation industries.
Solid experience with fluid/gas dynamic analysis, thermal, stress and kinematic analysis
Proficient with CAD modeling and drafting with SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor or Fusion or Siemens NX or others
Skilled experience with R&D; and testing campaigns
Strong knowledge and understanding of GD&T; and standardization rules
Thorough knowledge of all ASME/ISO or EASC/GOST standards
Proficient in writing technical reports and related documents
Proactive mindset:identifiesblockers (technical, schedule, resource, or process) early and drives them to resolution to keep the program moving.
