Position SummaryThe Lead Cashier (LC) is responsible for ensuring efficient guest transactions, maintaining cashwrap standards, and driving loyalty results through a focus on sales, guest experience, and process excellence. The LC supports the leadership team with register functions, associate training, and overall store performance.Key ResponsibilitiesContribute to store retail and service sales goals, omni‑channel sales, guest loyalty (including credit), and shrink targets.Provide exceptional service by greeting guests, personalizing service, and recommending Ulta Beauty products and services.Handle sales, refunds, and exchanges courteously.Pair guests with associates for makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations to drive sales and enhance the guest experience.Book appointments and support services and in‑store events that deliver an unrivaled guest experience while meeting sales goals.Take ownership of the replenishment, organization, and maintenance of all cashwrap displays, supplies, and impulse fixtures.Maintain punctual and reliable attendance.People & TrainingSupport an inclusive workplace for teammates, peers, and guests.Assist the leadership team with cashier chat ins/outs and associate exit inspections.Stay informed on industry trends, products,



and benefits to better serve guests.Share loyalty program benefits and encourage individual and store credit and loyalty goals.Assist in training new cashiers and cross‑training other associates in cashiering.Lead and influence peers to achieve peak productivity and performance.Drive cashier accountability for delivering a personalized Ulta Beauty brand experience and following system prompts.Participate in ongoing training, including brand and category education.Collaborate with managers and associates to grow the business.Process & ComplianceEnsure compliance with Ulta Beauty’s policies, procedures, and standards.Adhere to the dress code.Control all cash and media at the cashwrap, ensuring proper transaction completion.Complete select register open and close functions as directed.Maintain outstanding store standards and overall store cleanliness throughout all areas.Protect company assets and minimize loss by upholding safety, inventory control, and loss prevention procedures.Execute other operational tasks as directed.Job QualificationsEducationHigh school diploma preferred.Experience2 years of relevant work experience or equivalent education and experience.Proven ability to delegate, multitask,



and problem‑solve.Demonstrated knowledge and passion for guest service and sales competency.Experience addressing guest concerns and questions promptly and professionally.Demonstrated experience in exceeding sales goals and training new hires.SkillsProficient with POS systems and Apple devices.Excellent written and verbal communication.Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.React under pressure, use good judgment, and be flexible/adaptable.Special Position RequirementsWork a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.Lead cashier must be 18 years or older.Working ConditionsContinuous mobility throughout the store during shift, including twisting.Frequent bending, pulling, pushing, crouching, stooping, twisting, and reaching.Frequent lifting of up to 25 lbs.Continuous coordination and manipulation of objects.Compensation & BenefitsPay range: $16.90 – $24.75 per hour.Full‑time positions eligible for paid time off, health, dental, vision, life, and disability benefits; part‑time positions eligible for dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.Eligible for overtime pay per applicable law.EEO StatementUlta Beauty is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
